What is Cub Scouts? Motto: Do your best.

Cub Scouts is for boys from grades 1-5. We help reinforce good values in our Scouts.
Can Join at any point in the progression!!
     Tiger (1st Grade)
     Wolf (2nd Grade)
     Bear (3rd Grade)
     Webelos (4th and 5th Grade)
     Boy Scouts (ages 11 to 17)

Purpose of Cub Scouts:

Positively influence character development.
Help boys develop habits and attitudes of good citizenship.
Encourage good sportsmanship and pride on growing strong in mind and body.
Improve understanding within the family.
Strengthen boys’ ability to get along with other boys and respect other people.
Foster a sense of personal achievement by helping boys develop new interests and skills.
Show how to be helpful and do one’s best.
Provide fun and exciting new things to do.
Prepare boys to become Boy Scouts

How much time is involved with Cub Scouting?

One monthly meeting for one hour with the Den (all of the boys in the same grade).
One monthly meeting for 1 ½ hours with the Pack (all of the Cub Scouts at Lowell and one of their parents). We meet at Lowell.
One monthly fun activity (Bingo at the Senior Center, camping, etc.)

Fundraiser:

All Cub Scouts are selling Cub Scout popcorn to friends and neighbors 9/1- 10/26. This is our Fall fundraiser and the money goes to pay for camping and other fun activities we do as a Pack (all Scouts at Lowell are considered the Pack).

Cost:

Membership: $38.
     Boys Life Magazine (optional) $17/year for new members, $12 for recurring
Uniform:
     Scout Shirt ($29.15; Shirt $22.95 and patches $6.20)
     Scout Scarf & Slide $7.20
Handbook:
     1st grade Tiger $3.60
     2nd & 3rd grade Wolf/Bear $5.30 each
     4th & 5th grade Webelos $6.50
